Job Brief :

We’re looking for a seasoned admissions manager, in the field of undergraduate law, selling a program like BBA-LLB.
This manager will be responsible for carrying the admissions target of two universities: IFIM Law School, Bangalore and Vijaybhoomi University, Mumbai. This position works very closely with the Director - Admissions & Student Services to meet the assigned targets of both universities, and has potential for growth.

Roles and responsibilities :

  • Design the admission process in an optimal manner
    • Work with the university administrators in developing strategy for admission criteria, tests, and policies.
    • Evaluate the candidate profile, with the help of academic records, standardized test score, etc. Ensure, all applications are received on time.
    • Be a part of the admissions committee during student interview process and enable is selection of the target quality students.
    • Provide university campus guided tours to visiting parents and prospective students.
    • Work towards developing, maintaining and executing a communication plan to the prospective and enrolled students.
    • Act as a POC for the student till the joining date.
    • Develop and monitor statistical records to be able to improve recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and overall operational efficiency.
    • Provide information to prospective students and their parents about the university and its enrolment policies. Meet the enrolment goals in the target university.
  • Oversee all marketing activities, assess effectiveness and make changes
    • Assist in preparing a marketing plan that promotes the institution’s visibility and general recruitment efforts.
    • Participate in all Admissions related events and be the institution’s representative.
    • Ensure program information is up to date on university website and any other online/social media. Work with marketing department to ensure the same.
    • Help Marketing Manager to Liaise with agencies for university participation in various Education fairs/Exhibition pan-India.
    • Track effectiveness of marketing activities and provide feedback.
    • Participate with the marketing team to design activities within assigned budget and aligned to strategy.
  • Team Management & Coordination duties
    • Manage, mentor & guide a team of Admissions Counsellors
    • Collaborate with staff, faculty, administrators and internal departments to research and resolve complex student issues relating to admission, registration, late drops, refunds, administrative drops and withdrawals.
    • Monitor compliance with accreditation authority and university regulations with regard to admission, registration, student payment and related student records.
    • Participate in a variety of meetings, committees, taskforces, and/or other related groups to communicate information and facilitate continuous improvement of programs and services.
    • Interact with finance with respect to student payments & refunds.
  • Data management & reporting
    • Collect and analyse a variety of complex data and information regarding admission, registration, online processes, telephone helpline, and direct services.
    • Summarize findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums.
    • Present admission and registration information to a variety of audiences.
    • Analyse information from multiple sources to enable better lead conversion.
    • Maintain statistics related to performance & success rate and channels that have been effective.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):

  • Will be the point of contact, for all examination related matters of the Executive program
  • Shall be responsible for the conduct of all examinations of the Executive program.
  • Arrange for Collection, preparation, scheduling, conduct of examinations of the Executive program and all other contingent matters connected with examinations
  • Coordinating with the Exam unit for the regular updates of internal/external marks, End-term examinations, and other assessment related matters
  • Communicate with the faculty members of Question papers, moderation, test schedules, Evaluation, and grade declaration
  • Making necessary arrangements for the safe custody of all related office files connected with the conduct of examinations of the College, documents, certificates etc. in consultation with the Exam unit at JAGSOM.
  • Communicate the results to students, faculty, stakeholders as per the School policy.
  • Compile and create all assessment related reports, every term and as required by the Program Office/JAGSoM.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of work experience in the relevant domain
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business /Management or related disciplines from reputed university/institute
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written/spoken and reporting)
  • Expertise in working with Microsoft tools – Word, Excel, Power point etc., and experience working on ERPs
  • Preferred: Proven track record in executive work in program coordination and academic organization
  • Attitude: Willingness to learn new processes, team spirit, persuasive and ability to work with deadlines.

  • Student registrations – coordinate with Sales support team
  • Will serve as the help desk for all program related queries, through emails and phone calls, organize freshman orientation and onboarding of students.
  • Coordinate with Placement team (JAGSOM) to create placement opportunities and facilitate placement process.
  • Manage Student ERP – with the IT team to create student ids, registration numbers etc
  • Coordinate with Finance Department for registration follow ups , fee updates
  • Effective and timely communication of all matters concerning student registrations and attrition to the Dean, Chairperson and related offices
  • Feedback collection, compilation and (proper) communication of student feedback about faculty (co-ordinate with Academic Coordinator)
  • Timely preparation academic reports as per the school requirements.

  • Liaison with Exam unit for all information regarding student progression and graduation.

  • Introducing and selling the PGDM (Executive) program to Corporate Clients through new client acquisitions, managing existing relationships and deep mining relationships for increased student enrollments. (EdTech/Inside Sales/B2C/B2B)
  • Plan and develop the sales and marketing strategy and be fully responsible for end-to-end execution as per plan and annual targets.
  • Develop excellent relationships with corporate clients, key influencers and decision makers and continuously engage with them.
  • Develop integration channels with external agencies to facilitate specializations
  • Have a strong target-oriented approach to acquiring, developing, and managing clients and student (working professionals) enrollments.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Lead and manage all engagement levers such as client meetings and any event management to increase relationship quality with clients – prospective, new and tenured relationships.
  • Target based sales approach – revenue, clients and any other metric that is introduced or found relevant for new business development as well as deep-mining existing relationships.
  • Coordinate with partnering companies for Digital Marketing and Module Deliveries
  • Other allied responsibilities which may be communicated from time to time, as per business needs

Qualifications

  • Experience: at least 5 year of overall prior sales experience with experience in EdTech, Inside sales and B2B/B2C
  • An MBA is Business/Management or relevant discipline from a reputed University/Institute.
  • Great sales acumen with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge or any background in Education will be a great advantage.
  • Go-getter, or a self-motivated person; self-starter, patient, minimal need for supervision
  • Ability to build a strong rapport and trust with clients.
  • Preferred: Strong analytical skills, familiarity with databases and sales software
